I’m most interested about Passion. I think we can play and create projects but it’s difficult when we cannot foster Passion in others or understand what motivates others. I would like to be inspiring and to listen others to work with their passions.
Play!!!
The ‘P’ I am most interested in is PROJECT.
I am excited to see how people put their imagination to this world.
I am particularly interested in PASSION. People learn best when they are passionate about the topic. I want to find ways to tap into people’s passions to better enable their learning experience. Even in my work environment where I am creating learning content for software, I want to find ways to address what people truly need to know and communicate that so that they are motivated to embrace the training.
I am particularly drawn to the element of play within the framework of Creative Learning. What excites me the most is discovering the playful aspects embedded within every project, as it ignites curiosity and is fueled by passion. Although I am not a kindergarten teacher by profession, as a mother, I strive to infuse my crafty inclination into our activities. This approach fosters creativity and inspires my children to explore novel solutions to problems or even to simply decide how to spend their leisure time. By embracing the playful essence of learning, I believe we unlock boundless opportunities for growth and innovation.
I pick Play! Over the last 2 years, i have been fascinated by how play and creativity is a life skill and how it helps navigate deep, otherwise intense topics with ease, lightness and even yields better outcomes. Am specifically looking at how to integrate play as a daily way of being, inspired play to look inwards and making creative play accessible agnostic of age, culture, ability and geography.
also love to hear more about how you’re exploring this @floatingcompass ![]()
absolutely! currently, am curating physical experiences across cities where a bunch of strangers gather to explore a theme that invites them to look inwards together. we integrate elements of play so the gathering isnt all intense and serious but play helps them ease into otherwise difficult to access/ articulate areas easily. As an example, we’re currently exploring “fail-a-brations” - an effort to reframe our relationships with failure. And we ask people to paint their story or the journey in a party hat! in doing so, people realize the growth off the 1 instance of failure and celebrate their detours!
You could see examples of these on Lifecraft.ing (@lifecraft.ing) • Instagram photos and videos, the community am building :)
Am curious to understand what you do and what got you interested in Play! ![]()
I have two Ps I’m excited and curious about. First Passion, I find it true that doing something that you love and has a connection to you will make you go back to it and try harder. Yet I’m curious on how to get elementary students to choose something they love. I struggle on determining how open certain activities can be. So I want to learn how to guide students on making the decision on something they are passionate about.
The other P is Play, I want to learn more about how to make a clear distinction between entertainment and the real Play to discover.
for me , its definitively play, we need to remember that learning can be fun
My Bottleneck is “Peer” ![]()
I’ve been reflecting on my creative process and how I engage with projects.
I tend to be inspired by someone’s “Play”, which sparks my own “Project”. From there, I dive into it with “Passion”, experimenting and iterating along the way.
However, when I get stuck, I often struggle to ask for help from “Peers”, which leads to my projects trailing off unfinished.
I understand that there aren’t many active members in this community at the moment, but I’m determined to keep posting and interact, especially to work through my challenges with engaging peers. This is an important step for me in overcoming my own bottleneck of introversion, and I look forward to growing through this experience.
Benvenuta @miyako!
I’m so happy to meet you and connect! I’m currently working on my PhD dissertation (about LCL facilitation!) so I’m quite busy until May 16th, but I’m happy to re-engage with LCL as soon as I’m done!
I see you are based in Italy (I’m also from Italy!) do you speak any Italian by any chance? There is an LCL Italia Telegram group I can connect you to, is hosted by @Bice_Rapaccini, you’ll find a lot of peers there.
In any case, even if I’m not very active, know that I’m here reading your posts and hopefully engage in peer conversations soon! Another person I’m sure will read and engage is @JayElf!
Happy creative learning, you’re not alone! ![]()
Hello @miyako
so lovely to meet you here! I’m from UK, also an introvert, and both Connection and Growth are big passions of mine, so you’re definitely in the right place here ![]()
Love you’re aware in your creative process you can sometimes be vulnerable to giving up on projects rather than asking for feedback, and so wanting to explore that more in LCL ![]()
Sounds perfect thing to explore more here
we’re definitely here for you ![]()
Hi tarmelop and JayElf, ![]()
Thank you so much for your warm and encouraging messages! I’m really happy to know I’m not alone here.
I wasn’t expecting any replies, so I was both surprised and very touched.
I’m looking forward to exploring and learning with you!
And to tarmelop, I’m also happy to hear there’s an Italian group. Good luck with your PhD!
I am very curious to know about ‘Passion’. Leading children to what they could be interested in and then engaging them with the proper methods to lead that way further is an area I am looking to learn more. I am working on a project where we are testing on how creative learning can be taken at scale in India. So, the component of leading children to learn on their and giving them the tools for self-exploration is very crucial. And to do this passion could play an important role.
Hi @Smiya <3 so wonderful you are here ![]()
