[Activity 1] Childhood Objects

When I think about it, I remember my first guitar at 8 years old, I used to spend a lot of time practicing and playing, it didn’t feel like a chore or homework, it was just fun and learning

Hi @HumbertoGastelum
totally get what you’re saying here : )

When I looked back on what I used to play with as a child, I remembered how much I loved playing with a set of plastic blocks.

They were shaped like “#” and connected together by fitting bumps and grooves.

Since they were hollow, light, and slightly flexible, it was easy to pull them apart even if I made a mistake.

I didn’t have many blocks, so I often challenged myself to see how high I could build, or how big a box I could create with what I had.

Looking back, I think it was a wonderful way to experience gravity and structure through my own hands.

The blocks came in several colors too, so sometimes I mixed them randomly, and other times I grouped them by color.
Maybe that helped me develop a sense of aesthetics!

Feeling nostalgic, I even modeled them in SketchUp.

My favourite childhood object was this wooden kitchen toy set that I had. I loved playing and sharing it with my neighbourhood friends. It was the idea of imitating adults and enacting daily chores that we saw around that I enjoyed the most with the toy kit.
