Hello everyone! My name is Andrew and I make games, teach people how to make games, and teach people how to teach people how to make games. It’s a bit of a those who can’t do, teach; those who can’t teach, teach teachers situation. Currently I am the lesser half of Team Tree Games working with one of my former high school students. I am also a Unity Certified Instructor, and do curriculum development through my company Pharaoh Training Solutions. Most notably we did the curriculum development for Seattle Colleges new Extended Reality Development degrees. By far my most important responsibility is raising two young creators. My kids are three and five, and we already make games together using Unity and the Lego microgame. My current passion project is trying to spread this to as many other families as possible by lowering the floor and removing barriers to entry. I recently started volunteering with the Tacoma Clubhouse and look forward to mentoring kids there soon. Prior to this I taught high school video game development for five years at the Pierce County Skills Center. I was not yet aware of LCL (I read Lifelong Kindergarten about a year ago), but many of the concepts are the same as what I was learning to do as a Career and Technical Education teacher. This is where my own philosophy of education began to take shape as well starting with the creation of the Arcade Project. Prior to this I was a programmer for about three years. This overlapped slightly with college, and it is also when I started making games as a hobby and mentoring kids with Apps for Good. I hope to make some new connections and learn a lot during this course. In particular how to lower floors and widen walls on any given project.

Hello! My name is Matt, and I’m based in Chicago, IL. I’m a software engineer at D&D Beyond where I work on digital tools for playing D&D. I bought Lifelong Kindergarten on a recommendation from a Twitter friend, and then got word of this course shortly thereafter … so I guess “the algorithm” sent me?
Anyway, I love creativity and creative thinking and creative coding and tools. I’m also a very new dad, so it all just seems like a great time to jump in and learn whatever I can!

Hello! I’m here from Berkley, a small town in Southeast Massachusetts. My town has 6,000 people and our library is a “Carnegie Library” built in 1918. I volunteer at the library to teach 3D printing and various technology classes.
I have a background in mechanical engineering and product design. I research how to make collaboration experiences pleasurable.

I am Amani, I am from Melbourne, Australia. I am a researcher and technical lead, passionate about designing and developing educational technologies for children. My PhD research involves bridging the digital world with physical toys to develop learning techniques for children with ASD. Currently, I am working in a company that creates mobile experience that makes children learn, laugh and make their learning experience more interactive and fun.

Hello! My name is Gaetano Fasano and I am an INAPP researcher, a partner science of imasterminds and for 7 years I have been president of the cultural association Createca. I facilitate meetings and conventions using various techniques (PAPSA, GOPP, Open Space Technology, World Café). I’m also a teacher on topics such as effective communication, problem-solving techniques, facilitation of working groups, Project Cycle Management.
