Hello! I’m Laura, from Italy. I teach mathematics in grades 6, 7 and 8. I also work in the primary education faculty.

Hello! I’m Monica. I live in Massachusetts and work in Rhode Island. I’m a neuroscience lecturer at a university.
As an undergraduate (many years ago) I worked in the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab. I have had a couple of opportunities to reconnect with that work through the years. I have joined LCL to reconnect again.

Hello! So excited to be here. I lve LCL and am grateful for the appreciation of play and peers it has helped me to develop. I teach and live in Montreal Quebec, in an elementary school. Igetto teach art, science and STEAM. LOVE! I am so grateful for the LCL community. Looking forward to reconnecting with friends and making new friends.

Ahh, yes. much the same happened with our CoderDoJo here. we have only just been able to re-open in-person, but it was so amazing to be back and see that real joy of discovery on the kid’s faces again

Hello LCL Participants -
I am excited to participate in this course and broaden my horizons regarding creative learning and much more. My exposure to creative learning has come from my current consultant role with the Scratch Foundation (Boston, Massachusetts).
Currently, I work for Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Prior to Duke, I worked for Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in various leadership roles aimed at student success for twelve years. Additionally, I’ve also held leadership positions in sales, sport and recreation, tourism, and hospitality prior to Temple.
I look forward to interacting with you all and learning more.

Hi everyone,
I’m Chris from Albany, Oregon. I’m a STEM/CTE educator, advocate, maker, and coach who likely has more aluminum foil, cardboard, and alligator clips than any one person should have. Currently, I am leading a cohort of Pre-K educators on using STE(A)M in their classrooms. One of the reasons I joined LCL is because I also lead workshops on the LEGO Foundation’s Six Bricks program and think this would be something really nice to incorporate in those sessions.

HELLO FROM SAUDI ARABIA!
This is Saeed Saeed, I would like to claim I am fan #1 to learning creative learning…but I am sure in this world today, a lot of people would claim the same. I fell in love with Seymor Papert papers long time ago to the point that I quit my job and started TalentS following his leads. Soon after, I met Prof. Mitch, and fell in love again in his work and theories. I took this course few years back, and decided its time for a refresher again and learn most recent work on LCL. I wish to activate some of these theories in practice while desiging exhibits, workshops and shows for science centers.
I can’t wait to meet some of you and collaborate. Perhaps our next project will be done through new network I meet on this platform!

Hi everyone! My name is Shoshannah. I’m a mother of 2, currently a SAHM, passionate about conveying the joy of learning to my kids.
I studied CS and Psych, and have a PhD in video game AI (specifically profiling player traits from game behavior). I’ve worked in academia and the game industry, but when my eldest was born, my heart turned toward staying home with her for awhile (and later her sister as well).
Now I’m wondering which way to go in my life, and education is one of the paths I’m considering. I’m really curious to learn how the creative learning framework might be applied within the family, and maybe even in my kids’ schools. I’m also curious if there might be any cross-connections with my background in gaming, cause I’ve always felt games are the natural way of learning, and thus video games are actually just learning activities. The question being, what are they teaching? hahaha
Anyway, I’ll leave it at that, but if anyone is interested in the video game angle specifically, please don’t hesitate to reach out <3

My name is Daria Zhao and I’m based in San Francisco, working on Youth products at Autodesk. Autodesk creates 3D design, entertainment, and media software for a variety of industries, but we also have a mandate to empower the next generation of designers, engineers, and innovators. 
We’re huge fans of the Lifelong Kindergarten group, and try to embed this spirit of joy, curiosity, and playfulness in our free offerings like Tinkercad and Instructables. As we like to say: serious learning is seriously fun.

Hi everyone! I’m Estefanía, a UX designer, researcher, and facilitator from Colombia. My grad project focused on the intervention of pediatric vaccination experiences through design.
