My background is in software engineering.

I’m currently interested in how to create learning experiences that are effective and enjoyable. This interest comes from my own experiences in different learning environments when I was growing up: learning from school classes versus teaching myself programming at home. I felt the latter was much more enjoyable and resulted in a deeper understanding. I want to learn how to create more learning experiences like this for more topics and more people.

I found the ideas in books such as Mindstorms and Lifelong Kindergarten to be very interesting and I hope to internalize these ideas more deeply.
