[ARCHIVED: Round 1] Introduce Yourself

#1999

Hi All. My name is Steve Isaacs and I teach Game Design and Development at William Annin Middle School. I am a huge proponent of student choice in learning and guiding students to find and nurture their passion. I saw Mitch speak on Tuesday night at the #CSTANYC meeting and was so pleased to hear his message as it aligns so beautifully with my mission as an educator and a learner. In my classroom, I strive to be a co-learner with my students and provide them with opportunities and resources and leave much of the learning in their hands. I attended the Scratch Conference a few years back and hope to attend this summer and stick around for the Connected Learning Conference (a hybrid of DML and GLS).

In addition to my work as an educator, I am the producer for Minefaire, a massive Minecraft Fan Experience. We are one of the community event partners with Mojang and Microsoft and have 12 shows across the country in 2018.

Looking forward to learning with everyone

Best,
Steve
